Public service is radio and television in the service of the general public. The mission of Sveriges Television (SVT), Sveriges Radio and Sveriges Utbildningsradio (educational broadcasting, UR) is to provide the people of Sweden with everything from news and documentaries to entertainment and education – in an impartial and objective manner.

Thank you for paying radio and television fees!
All who pays the radio and TV fee contributes to radio and television that is free from commercial and political influence in SVT, Swedish Radio and UR. In 2012, the fee is 2076 SEK per year.
