About Radiotjänst

Everyone who owns, rents or borrows a television receiver has to pay for a radio and TV fee. The radio and TV fee costs 2 076 kronor per year, or 173 kronor per month.

It doesn't matter which channels you watch, the mere fact that you have a TV receiver makes you liable to pay for a radio and TV fee. The radio and TV fee is not included in the fee charged for cable or satellite TV.

The radio and TV fee finances the public service TV and radio channels of Sveriges Television (SVT), Sveriges Radio and Sveriges Utbildningsradio (UR, educational broadcasting).

Radiotjänst is owned by SVT, Sveriges Radio and UR and Radiotjänst is a part of Swedish public service.

The radio and TV fee is required to be paid by law, and Radiotjänst is entrusted by the Swedish Riksdag with the task of collecting radio and TV fees nationwide and verifying payment of them. The main office is located in Kiruna and the Managing Director is Anna Pettersson.
