Sveriges Utbildningsradio, UR (educational broadcasting) has a non-formal adult education, as well as educating, mission. The latter separates UR from the other two public service companies. UR’s radio and television programmes are enjoyed not only at home in the sofa, but can also be used in a variety of educational situations – from preschool to university!

UR makes it more fun to learn and easier to understand the connections.  The educational programmes take you out into the world, teach preschool children arithmetic or empathy, see to that secondary school students get a handle on French and put the roll of the teacher in focus. UR also stands behind, together with SVT, Kunskapskanalen (the Knowledge Channel). In addition, UR publishes books that contribute to education development and debate.
