Financing

The radio and TV fee is deposited in Rundradiokontot (the Broadcasting Account) at Riksgälden (the Swedish National Debt Office), from which it is then distributed to SVT, Sveriges Radio and UR. It is the Swedish Riksdag that decides on the distribution to the different programme companies.

In 2010, 6.7 billion SEK was divided up.

  • SVT, 57,69 percent (3 875.4 million SEK)
  • Sveriges Radio, 37,57 percent (2 523.7 million SEK)
  • UR, 4,75 percent (318.9 million SEK)
